Some blocks, howered, do not use the same items they are crafted from to be repaired by, for example Brick Blocks are made from stone and clay in the Forge, but to repair a Brick Block the player must use Cobblestone Rocks.

in 19.4 i used to be able to repair walls, instead of replacing the entire block, making it easier. was this a mod? i cant seem to be able to do that with alpha 20 was that removed or was it a mod of some description,

As in, some burnt houses had "broken" blocks with an upgrade path to a relevant frame or a ramp? I think I upgraded some roof pieces in A20 like that, but it may well have changed a lot with the block system changes.

If you're talking about the blocks that look like they're broken sections of brick/wood/cement when you first see them and haven't been damaged by either you or an enemy critter/zombie they had their upgrade path yoinked with the update to A20 so you can't "repair" them anymore.

yeah that's what i thought, i was going to post some before and after, but it seems that'd be a waste of time, you cant repair brick blocks any longer, i havent tried wood yet,
