Just received confirmation my Switch Joy Cons will be arriving in two days! I was expecting to wait a bit longer. A lot of people are saying they are getting entirely new Joy Cons. I also sent my Switch in to have the back of the case replaced.
Why would Nintendo send you a new Joy-Cons?
Maybe sending new, drift-free Joy Cons is more convenient for them than fixing the hundreds that might be defective. I sent my 3DS with a broken L and R button to them years ago and it came back with the system memory wiped. I'm pretty sure they just gave me a new console altogether. I wouldn't be shocked if this was a common practice.
