hi I have some holes to fill from window catches that were fitted and removed, they are around 3mm dia, so what would you use ?

Gorners

Only thing I’ve found of any use is some white silicone. Try to flatten off the hole first by pulling a piece of hard plastic across it in all directions, as usually the edges are proud. It won’t be perfect but your eye (and therefore anyone else’s) won’t be drawn to it at all.

RobTi

Thanks have flattened them with the edge of a Stanley blade and just wondered if there was a white glue/ filler that the trade used before I try silicone

There are wax repair kits for about £50 but they are an artform to use.

I have a wax repair kit and I'm pretty handy with one, white is pretty easy, fill - sand - polish, woodgrains are where you earn your money, LOL I never made much money on woodgrains!

I've just done exactly that. I used white silicon and smoothed it with a wet finger - can hardly see it. The hole that is, not the finger. bbb

I wouldn't think the silicon will stay like that (unnoticeable). Still, easy enough to do it again
