This guide will show you step by step, how to clean the gears of a bait caster. This will allow you to cast at the distance you are needing.

Use a small Phillips or flathead screwdriver to remove the screw highlighted in red.

Remove 10MM nut, highlighted in orange, on handle with a 10MM nut driver.

Using a small Phillips or flathead screwdriver, remove the small screws that are highlighted in red.

After small screws are removed, twist each knob until they come off being careful not to loose these pieces.

Once cover is released from reel, apply the Abu Garcia lube to the gears highlighted in orange.
