Sure, out of direct sunlight, in (probably) air-conditioned storage. But, put frames on the dashboard for 30-40 years, and see how well they hold up.

That type of repair is a waste of time. If it were broke in the middle between the lenses it could be drilled and pinned and bonded with acetone. A broken acetate rim is a deathblow to that sunglass i'm afraid. If the rim is split lengthwise it could be wearable for years.
You just want to sell a new one......................................
But you'll never be able to "fuse" an eyewire and have it strong enough to withstand mounting a lens, let alone the aforementioned airbag hit.
