I purchased eyelets, fabric glue and piece of linen cloth from local fabric shop, total cost was about 15 USD.

Step 2: Sewing

Now we have to sew the torn parts. I recommend to use quilting thread for durability. Take your time and sew carefully.

Step 3: The Patch

Measure width of patch and fold it in half with glue. Let it dry for couple minutes.

Step 4: Glue the Patch

Place thin layer of fabric glue first on the shoe and then on the patch. Use press tool for better result. I left shoes drying for 3 hrs but I recommend to read instructions on your fabric glue.

Step 5: Attach Eyelets

There is different tools and ways to attach eyelets and usually there's instructions in the back of package. Follow them.

Step 6: Sew the Patch

Shiny

You must be riding them out pretty hard. My converses last me about 7 months, and I thrash them. Don't bother taking them to a repair shop, not worth it. Just keep wearing them though, because converses have to have that old school, grunged up style.

Plugpoint

That happens with almost every pair of Converse I've ever seen, no big deal
