The leather can be purchased on ebay already cut to size, all that is required is taking apart the armrest and gluing the new one. Total repair time is approx 1 hour.

I purchased the leather from this JF customs on ebay, the fitment was exceptional, the feel of the leather is much nicer than then the vinyl that originally came on the console.

Mine is 09 and about a year ago I noticed a small split, just like in your photo. I Put off fixing it and couple weeks had several more splits and the first spot had grown to over 2" and was standing open like sliced ham. All I could find online were slip on covers. The New lid was easy to install and looks OEM because it is.....but $230, ouch!

Awesome post, ordered same part today. Only flaw on my FX and such a better option than the 350 dollar lid from Infiniti! Your fix looks better than original.

If your console lid is broken and loose, or if it came off completely, you'll need to remove the old hinge assembly , it's broken inside. It will be held in place with screws — in this case, they are modern Torx drive screws. Be sure to put the screws in a safe place, such as a magnetic parts tray.
