- Remove any unsound or flaking concrete from the repair area using a hammer and chisel or with a masonry grinding disk and a portable drill.
- Remove any loose material, oil and grease then clean the surface with QUIKRETE Concrete and Asphalt Cleaner.
- Thoroughly rinse the repair area after cleaning.
- Prepare the mortar joints using a hammer and chisel to remove any deteriorated mortar to a depth of ¼ inch to ¾ inch.
- Clean out the joint using a wire brush.
- Apply the mortar repair by puncturing the seal inside the applicator tip and placing the cartridge into a standard caulk gun.
Is Quikrete as good as concrete?
