High Density Poly-Ethylene is a notoriously hard material to repair, in most cases repairing the plastic by the use of glues etc. is impossible. <P>The only glue that I have found that will adhere to this plastic is a kind of "Crazy Glue" used to perform temporary repairs to flexible endoscopes.
